The score when the title card comes on actually has only half the number of instruments playing from what the score originally had in previous films (as a nod to the snap)

I love that hulk is like hulk from planets hulk banner and hulk working together to survive
Summer Tyme
Summer Tyme 19 godzin temu
The Lego Reviewer The Hulk story is the best character arc that he has ever had, including all the comics and the old Bill Bixby TV show. Hulk and Banner are split personalities at war with each other. Both feared each other and hated each other more than they feared anything else. When Thanos defeated Hulk, and then Banner failed to stop Thanos, the two personalities had no choice but to work together, as you said to survive. The result was a character who in many ways was the ultimate Avenger and the only one capable of over turning Thanos snap. Professor Hulk combined physical indestructibility with next level intellect, emotional maturity and a huge *heart.* In the End he did ‘arm wrestle’ Thanos for the fate of the Universe - and he won. Banner could never have done this. Hulk could never have done this.... only Professor Hulk, the best of both worlds. That’s character growth. That’s a narrative with a beginning a middle and an end. Hulk Smash - is a not a complete narrative. It’s just a redundancy.

my favorite part about living in such an accepting world is this. that gay dude in the beginning just went right over my head. my first two times watching that scene i just thought "its gotta be tough trying to move on." it wasn't until the third time that i realized how controversial a line like that would have been ten or even five years ago. good on us america!

I've heard so many people say that the LGBT representation is too subtle in this. But isn't that how its supposed to be? Like instead of having a character that checks all the gay stereotype boxes have one that acts just like anyone else but happens to be gay.

I feel like the part with Thor standing in the doorway after killing Thanos perfectly encapsulates how it feels when you’ve accomplished something you’ve wanted for so long, but once you do it just feels meaningless and empty, like it isn’t worth anything and it doesn’t give you the closure you thought it would. That’s why I found that scene to be one of the saddest moments in the movie for me. I might be projecting my own issues on to this a bit lol
Summer Tyme
Summer Tyme Dzień temu
Noah Jones No that’s actually a factual assessment of the plot. In cutting Thanos head off, Thor does not bring back those who Thanos destroyed. In fact he completes Thanos mission for him, as now there is no possibility of even interrogating Thanos to learn what they might do to undo what he has done. Thor is staring into the face of penultimate failure. The moment is devastating for him.

im sad he didnt say more about nats hair. look back to the first avengers and she had red hair. and she talked about the red in her life. in infinity war she died her hair blonde. representing getting the red out of her lecture. but then she let the red grow back out representing shes back to that painful mental state

The reason why Marvel is better than DC is the villains and characters are more in depth. You can see Thanos’ point of view, killing half the universe so the other half would strive but you can also see why they would want to kill Thanos, I’m not saying DC doesn’t have good characters, I’m just saying that marvel is better
Summer Tyme
Summer Tyme 19 godzin temu
Charles Deem It’s in what you do with it. Kevin Fiege understood Stan Lee’s original genius. Stan Lee said that heroes are not about their powers, but rather their willingness to risk themselves to help others. “When you make them too powerful to [perfect] they become boring.” Basically -> comicbook.com/dc/2019/09/04/dc-fan-who-thinks-justice-league-could-defeat-thanos-gets-owned/

Seriously. Your sexuality does not matter when it comes to acting. Make it convincing that is what it is about. I am really annoyed by this "ideal" that even further sets the focus away from acting and character writing. Arguments like this are the reason why we get characters who always need to point out they are gay. Imagine a straight character doing that. Now you know how ridicioulus it is. This scene in endgame was totally fine since it focuses on the emotional aftermath of the snap. That this character happens to be gay becomes secondary while we can more relate to the trauma. That is the best way to fight homophobia.

I have to say, when the Avengers title card flashes, they only used half of the orchestra from the previous film. It does sound triumphant, but fits into the Infinity War narrative of wiping out half of humanity, and the earlier Marvel graphic of erasing half of the heroes.

This movie was so interesting to me because of how I felt about it. I loved it while I was watching it, then I realized all the problems it had (don't worry I'll talk about it in a sec.) and now I'm in the middle. I definitely like it, and I'll watch it again at some point. I think my problem was the expectation I had after IW. That movie wasn't your typical marvel film. It had humor and light moments, sure, but it was much more serious than the typical MCU film. I expected that kind of serious, almost more adult feel. This movie had a great cold open that continued that tone. Everything from Tony's rescue to Thor killing Thanos kept the tone flowing. But after that, it felt like Marvel sort of slipped into their old formula. Lots of humor, some great action, New and exciting world mechanics, you know what I mean. To be sure, there's nothing wrong with the formula. It's just, after the art that was IW, I expected a follow-up. A sequel to IW, that was, like it's predecessor, more than a typical Marvel movie. This disappointed me in that regard. At any rate, nothing said in this video was wrong, and as I said I did very much enjoy this movie. Just maybe not as much as I would have preferred. Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Summer Tyme
Summer Tyme Dzień temu
Nah. IW is more of a typical marvel movie if such exists then EndGame. Endgame is a character study. Infinity War is more action driven. That’s the real reason why so many people are moved to tears by it, and *not* by Infinity War. That’s also why critics liked EndGame even more than Infinity War, and it’s why audiences like it even more than Infinity War.

The only massive plot issue I found is Strange ran through whatever millions amount of possibilities in infinity war saying only 1 chance to succeed, but it required ant-man, who was released years later from a completely random unpredictable variable of the rat. He went through different things that the avengers would have to do to succeed, he wouldn’t be able to see ant-man doing anything since he shouldn’t have been released.
Summer Tyme
Summer Tyme Dzień temu
Your logic is flawed. He doesn’t need to see how ant man escapes. It’s simply a fact that in one possible future - he does.

The hardest thing about writing a great series, is coming up with a satisfying conclusion. Countless shows that were deemed 'amazing' have fallen flat on their faces in their final seasons (Lost, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Heroes, Prison Break... I could go on forever). This is because coming up with an opening concept is way easier than following it through. This might be the greatest 'conclusion' to a series that has ever been produced in TV or cinematic history. I am astounded by how hard they nailed the landing on the Infinity Saga.
Summer Tyme
Summer Tyme Dzień temu
100% agreement. Game of Thrones shows what can go wrong. The writer George RR Martin, got distracted by his own success, and maybe even a little afraid to fail. The show runners got exposed as the empty minded hacks that they are (the also co wrote the disastrous Gemini Man). They tried to end the show fast before more folks found out that they can’t write, and then the ending was a complete disaster of abandoned plot points, plot armor, fan service, character trashing, undeserved fake redemption arcs and phony happy endings.
